Safflower has never been the star of the herb books — and its oil is just the same: unassuming and light. It is made by cold-pressing safflower seeds, and ours is organic. Safflower oil is meant for skin that needs gentleness: sensitive, delicate skin prone to irritation. It gets along with all skin types, though — it is the kind of ingredient that does not get in the way of anything. The quiet type. The kind that does not talk, just gets on with it.
Safflower oil can handle the day too
Most oils belong to the evening. Safflower oil has such a light texture that you can wear it during the day too: apply a few drops to your cleansed face or body and massage in gently. On damp skin it absorbs faster and without a greasy feel, so the best moment is right after washing. If you wear a cream during the day, a drop of safflower oil underneath works as quiet nourishment — it pushes nothing out and weighs nothing down. No shine, no film — just skin that has had what it needs. No waiting, no buffing.
The coral-salmon label sets it apart at once in our line-up of oils. Inside, though, is the same thing as in every bottle on this shelf: a single ingredient, cold-pressed, in amber glass that protects it from light. The bottle holds 50 ml and dispenses a little at a time with a pump, so you use the oil up at exactly the pace your skin can take it in. Single-ingredient care needs nothing more — and you will not find anything more in there either.
