Lavender whipped body butter is shea butter in which lavender flowers from a Slovak farm were infused at low temperatures — and which we then whipped, together with other butters and oils, into a fluffy foam. On contact with the skin the foam melts and disappears; what remains is nourishment and a soothing floral scent.
Why do we whip body butter?
Dense butters are hard to scoop out of a jar and even harder to spread. Whipping gets air into the mass — the texture lightens, spreads thinly and the skin takes exactly as much as it needs. No magic, just the mechanics of a whisk and a little patience. The base is shea butter, which we use unrefined in our whipped butters; it is complemented by cocoa butter and by almond and argan oil. Together they nourish and hydrate the skin and restore its suppleness — a line-up for dry elbows, knees and hands that ask for something richer.
Apply to skin that is still damp: on damp skin the butter spreads more easily and absorbs better. A small amount is enough — if your skin stays shiny for a long time after applying, take less next time. And one practical confession: the fluffy consistency softens in the warmth. It is not a flaw in the recipe, just the physics of fat; so give the amber jar a cooler spot out of direct sunlight. The lavender scent here does not come from a dropper but from the infusion — the flowers gave the butter exactly as much as could be released at low temperatures. Gently, not by force.
