Rose whipped body butter is the festive side of our herbal range. Cabbage rose petals are patiently infused in shea butter, damask rose essential oil adds a velvety floral scent and the whole blend of butters and oils — shea, cocoa, almond and argan — is whipped into an airy foam that melts the moment it touches the skin.
How do you use whipped butter?
A small amount is enough. Scoop up a little and spread it over skin that is still damp — on damp skin the butter spreads into a thin film and absorbs better. The recipe richly nourishes and hydrates the skin and gives it suppleness; the texture suits sensitive skin too. The foam also goes further than it looks at first glance, so the butter lasts longer than the size of the jar suggests. And one more important thing: the airy texture softens in warmth, so keep it somewhere cooler and out of direct sunlight — a shelf away from the radiator is plenty.
The scent of damask rose is a memory of a garden in full bloom, and it reaches the butter in two ways: cabbage rose petals release it during slow infusion, while damask rose arrives as a pure essential oil. Both paths lead from the flower, neither from a fragrance blend. The soft pink label with an illustration of roses on the amber jar hints at what is inside before you unscrew the black lid. That is also why this butter so often ends up wrapped as a gift.
