JOJOBA OIL

Jojoba oil has a little secret: chemically speaking, it is not an oil at all but a liquid wax. And that is exactly why it is so popular — its composition is strikingly similar to the sebum the skin produces on its own, so the skin accepts it with barely a grumble. It is obtained by pressing the seeds of the jojoba plant; ours is cold-pressed and organic. It spreads beautifully, absorbs quickly and leaves no greasy shine. It suits almost every skin type, even skin that otherwise cannot stand oils. If you are choosing your first facial oil and do not know where to start, jojoba is the safest first choice — not because it is miraculous, but because it behaves like something skin already knows.

Carrier oil, in plain English: the base

If you mix your own blends, jojoba is an ideal carrier oil — a neutral base for diluting essential oils, because 100% essential oils do not belong directly on the skin. Choose from our essential oils to go with it and add them a drop at a time. In it, essential oils get a calm, neutral base — exactly what you want from a carrier oil: it should carry them, not shout them down.

How to use jojoba oil

A few drops are plenty — on the face after cleansing, on the body after a shower, into the lengths of your hair to smooth them. It sinks in before it has a chance to get in the way, and leaves no shine or greasy film. The sunny yellow label suits it; more important, though, is the amber glass beneath it, which protects the contents from light.
