A set of the things we ourselves keep coming back to in the workshop: Sun Rays with dried calendula petals on top, another soap with a scene of The Little Prince at sunset and a white ceramic soap dish with a relief pattern. Both soaps are handmade by the cold process and cured for at least 30 days. A gift with rhyme and reason — and somewhere to drip-dry, too.
Why do we pack a soap dish with the soaps?
Because the lifespan of a solid soap depends on one inconspicuous thing: whether it dries out between washes. This soap dish stands on little feet and water drains away through its holes, so the soap does not sit in a puddle. Hard as our soaps are, a permanent stay in water is still not among their hobbies. The ceramic rinses clean easily and lasts long after the first soap is used up.
We cut the soaps with a wire, leave the glycerine formed during saponification in the mass and build the scents from essential oils only. Nothing extra. Nothing without a reason.
This set is a good choice when you are only just getting to know the recipient — or when they are getting to know us. Instead of guessing their favourite scent, they get a selection we ourselves swear by, plus a dish that helps the soaps last as long as they should. A first introduction to the workshop with no risk of missing the mark.
