The whole surface of the dish is covered with a delicate relief reminiscent of antique Portuguese or Moorish tiles — square after square, each with its own rosette. A creamy white glaze ties it all together, and this ceramic soap dish looks fresh and clean.
In the middle you will find a pair of round openings through which water runs straight out, so the soap does not go soggy even with everyday use. Turned-up edges and little feet hold the soap safely in place, even when there is lather everywhere. A soap dish with drainage is not a detail — it is a simple way to extend the life of a bar of soap. It works just as well for a shampoo bar.
Place it next to the washbasin out of the direct stream and rinse and wipe it once in a while — glazed ceramic needs no more care than that. It measures 11 × 9 cm, so it holds even a larger bar of soap. The relief is pressed by hand, so every piece is an original. Literally. The pattern will not wear off with daily use — it is not on the surface but right in the clay.
The ornamental pattern goes well with Floral Celebration or any of our cold-process soaps.
