ROSE AVENUE

A stroll down a blossoming avenue pressed into a single bar. The cream top layer flows in a gentle wave into powder pink, and dried rose petals decorate the top. A romantic pink soap with a floral scent that looks just as good on the edge of the bath as it does as a gift.

The scent is softly floral — it is carried by the pure essential oils of lavender, palmarosa and geranium, which together compose an accord reminiscent of rose; no fragrance blends. The rose itself appears in the soap as dried petals on the surface. It is not a heavy wall of flowers, more a memory of an avenue in bloom — the scent is there to set a mood, and we ask nothing more of it. Why are the petals on top and not inside?

Because dried flowers darken over time in the alkaline soap mass and the pink petals would lose their shade. That is why we sprinkle them on the surface, where they keep their shape and colour. The soap's powdery shade, on the other hand, comes not from the petals but from mineral pigments. We admit it without beating about the bush. The soap itself is made by the cold process, palm-oil-free; we guide the wave between cream and pink by hand, cut the block with a wire and let the bars cure on the shelf for at least 30 days. That is why each one is a little different. On purpose.

Between showers, let the soap drip-dry somewhere dry so it lasts as long as possible.
