A heart made up of dozens of tiny flowers pressed into a soft grey-beige glaze — tone on tone, with no shouting. This ceramic soap dish relies on the beauty of detail and comes across as quiet and elegant, as if it were whispering.
In the middle of the heart is a tiny hole — heart-shaped as well — that lets the water drain away from the soap so that it stays dry and does not wear down needlessly fast. The understated colour fits any bathroom — from Scandinavian-austere to romantic. Standing in water does a solid soap no good; here it simply has nowhere to stand. A soap that dries out between washes wears down more slowly — so the little hole is not a detail, it is the reason the dish exists at all.
Place it on a dry spot next to the sink and empty it now and then. At 10.5 × 7.5 cm it is just right for a single bar of soap. The floral pattern is embossed by hand, so no two pieces are identical, and the glaze cleans with a single wipe. Not perfectly alike — and that is the intention.
