COLORIE

You never forget your first school pencil — and at least this one cannot be chewed. COLORIE is a vegan soap shaped like a sharpened pencil: a mustard-yellow body, a graphite-black tip, beneath it a wavy collar like fresh shavings from the sharpener, and at the bottom a vivid pink band in place of an eraser. The dark details are down to black mineral pigments, and the scent is shared between bergamot, litsea cubeba and lemongrass — citrus up front, a fresh green trail in the background. The lather is creamy and washes gently — just as it should in a bathroom the whole family takes turns in.

Why the soap has a tip

Because with design soaps, shape is half the craft. We mix each colour separately — mineral pigments for the yellow and the black, a cosmetic colourant for the pink — layer them in the mould and finally cut the block into individual bars with a wire. The collars, stripes and tips are therefore a tiny bit different on every bar — the signature of handwork, not a production fault. The recipe beneath the shape is an honest classic: coconut oil with shea butter for hardness and lather, olive and sunflower for a gentler character, the cold process, scent exclusively from essential oils and at least 30 days of curing on the shelf before the soap reaches you. During curing, water leaves the soap and it hardens — so it lasts longer afterwards. And like everything from our workshop, it is palm-oil-free: the same lather, the same cleansing power, no pressure on tropical rainforests.
