Sometimes the simplest thing is the most beautiful. This soap is smooth and entirely free of decoration — no scent, no colourants, no allergens. The moss-green shade does not come from colourants: it comes from green chlorella algae powder, which sits alongside aloe vera in the recipe. Just a clean combination of oils and butters that relies on itself alone and puts on no airs.
That is exactly why we like it for the most sensitive skin of children and adults, on the face, hands and whole body. The creamy lather washes gently without leaving skin tight, so it works even where ordinary scented soaps sting or irritate.
So what is actually in it?
A short list: coconut and olive oil, shea butter, sunflower oil and water; plus a fine powder of aloe leaves and green chlorella algae. We did not buy the glycerine — it formed during saponification itself and we left it there, because it is a humectant, a substance able to bind water. We make the soap by the cold process, palm-oil-free, cut it with a wire and let it cure on the shelf for at least 30 days. And since it is a solid soap, it needs no preservatives. Since it has nothing to hide, it is worth looking after in the classic way — let it dry out between washes so it stays firm and whole for a long time. A soggy soap is not a better soap, after all.
