No magic, just wax, a wick and a little patience.
A kit for making candles from scratch
The kit contains 100% soy wax, fragrance oil and all the tools — jars with lids, cotton wicks, a centring tool and labels. The brown glass jars with metal lids look good on a shelf even after the candle has burned down — they can happily be used again. Detailed instructions guide you through the whole process step by step, so beginners and younger children under adult supervision can manage it. The whole process is calm work: melt, stir in the scent, pour, centre the wick and leave to set. Soy wax is plant-based and burns cleanly and slowly, without unnecessary smoke.
Wax has a memory: the first burn decides how the candle will melt for the rest of its life. So when you light your finished candle for the first time, give it time — let it burn until the wax has melted right to the edges of the jar. A level surface forms and the candle will then last a long time and burn evenly. No tunnel in the middle of the jar.
