Calendula is one of the few herbs that keep their colour in soap — and this creative kit lets you make your own soap with it. The burgundy label on the kraft bag, the cream bars stamped 100% HANDMADE in the photo and the gentle herbal scent hint that this is calm, fragrant crafting.
The white soap mass can be remelted and enriched with scents, dried herbs or colours, so you put together six soaps exactly as you imagine them. In the kit you will find all the ingredients — including dried calendula and an essential oil blend — plus tools such as two silicone moulds and labels. The enclosed instructions guide you through making them step by step, and beginners and younger children under adult supervision can manage it.
Why calendula?
Most herbs darken in soap mass over time, and a pretty ingredient ends up as a brownish dot. Not calendula. Its golden petals hold their colour, so you can really see them in the finished soap — just like on the cream bars in the photo. That way the soap looks herbal not only on the day it is made. The scent comes from a gentle herbal essential oil blend. Nothing extra, nothing without a reason.
The crafting is quick and rewarding — in about an hour you have a full set of handmade soaps to use at home or to give as a thoughtful little gift. Let the finished bars set well before first use and dry out between washes, so they last a long time.
