FOX

A ginger face with pointed ears, gently embossed whiskers and a contented expression, topped with a creamy layer like snow on its back. Fox is a vegan design soap made by the cold process, with a citrus-floral scent of litsea cubeba and lavender — gentle enough for washing children's hands every day.

Why do no two soap foxes have the same expression?

Because we cut every bar by hand with a wire. The line between the russet face and the creamy top breaks a little differently on each bar; an ear sits a little higher on one, a little lower on the next. That is not inaccuracy. It is the signature of the workshop — and we admit it on purpose.

The scent comes exclusively from essential oils. Litsea cubeba smells fresh and sunny, somewhere between lemon and flowers, and lavender softens it into something that will not overpower anyone in the bathroom. No fragrance blends — only as much essential oil as the soap can carry, so the scent stays natural even after weeks on the shelf.

The recipe is honest soap-making: saponified coconut and olive oil are complemented by cocoa and shea butter, sunflower and almond oil — no palm oil. The colours come from mineral pigments with activated charcoal, and the glycerine that forms during saponification simply stays in the soap. After that there is only the shelf and at least 30 days of curing, during which the soap loses water and hardens. For us, time is part of the recipe. After curing, we take every bar in hand once more, check it and weigh it — a fox that does not meet our standards does not make it into the box.

With the fox around, children are in no hurry to leave the shower — the 75-gram bar fits perfectly in their palm — and it pairs nicely with the bear face of our Teddy soap.
