“Takto sa to robí do psej matere!” (That's how it's bloody done!) – a line everyone here knows, and one that fits everything from a tidied garage to a goulash that turned out well. Set in big capital letters on a black tin, it is a candle with a proper dose of Slovak temperament and a smile on your lips.

Behind that loud façade hides a quiet craft: hand-poured soy wax and a cotton wick that burn evenly and without soot for as long as you need. Fine-tune the mood with a scent to your taste – fresh citrus, fruit punch, sweet gourmand notes, woody Palo Santo or warming spice; and when a flame is all you need, there is an unscented version too.

Do not rush the first burn – let the wax melt right to the edge so that it then burns nice and evenly, and keep the wick short. In its kraft box it makes a fitting gift for anyone who appreciates a good joke and honest work at the same time.
