“Let's overthink it” — the motto for anyone who replays a conversation from three days ago at two in the morning, looking for a hidden meaning. This candle does not take itself too seriously, and with a healthy dose of self-deprecation it says what many of us know all too well.

It is a funny gift for the friend who does enough thinking for three, and also a way to quieten those thoughts, at least for a while. Choose the scent according to what calms you — woody Palo Santo and sweet gourmand notes to ground you, Fresh Citrus to clear your head, or a completely clean unscented version. Soy wax and a cotton wick burn calmly and for a long time.

Instead of yet another analysis, simply give it time when you first light it — let the wax melt all the way to the wall of the tin, so the candle does not start tunnelling down the middle. After that, just keep the wick trimmed and enjoy the light.
