“Keep calm and burn a candle” — the simplest recipe for a day that got on top of you. No complicated rituals, just the strike of a match and a flame that seems to quieten your thoughts too. This candle takes the familiar “keep calm” and gives it its own, very calm ending.

It is a small reset after work as well as a lovely gift for someone who needs to slow down. Tune the scent to suit you — soothing woody and gently sweet notes, a fresh citrus to brighten things up, or a clean soy flame with no perfume. The wax burns evenly and cleanly, with no black smoke.

One tin will “calm you down” like this a good many times — the candle burns for roughly forty hours if you do not let it burn too long in one go and keep the wick short. The lid keeps the wax clean between burns.
