Soap does not like a puddle. Leave it lying in its own little pool and before long you have soft, slippery mush. The Soap Lift soap dish solves this surprisingly simply: an interwoven mesh of loops lifts the soap above the water, the water drains off and air flows in from below. Water down, air up, soap dry. As a result it dries faster and lasts considerably longer.
This version comes in a natural creamy white that suits any bathroom — alongside light tiles or wood. It is made of corn-based bioplastic, so it is flexible, durable and kinder to nature than ordinary plastic; what is more, soggy soap will not stick to it. The loops are springy, so they adapt to the shape of the soap — and a surface of 11 × 7.5 cm gives it enough room.
Care? Rinse it under running water now and then and it is as good as new. No taking apart, no scrubbing — the water does most of the work by itself.
