A delicate Christmas bauble sways on sandy cream ceramic — outlined in black, with a white glaze, fine dots around its edge and a cap decorated with real gold, as if it were dangling from the tree this very moment. Hidden at its centre is a cut-out heart that is not just decoration: it is exactly where excess water runs away from under the soap. Handmade in the Keramika Greško workshop, where every piece is an original.
It is a small dose of Christmas spirit that lasts longer than the festive season. A hand-painted ceramic soap dish with raised feet lets air flow under the soap, the heart-shaped cut-out drains water, and so the soap does not go soggy and lasts you longer. It brightens an Advent bathroom and makes a gift that will not end up in a box after Epiphany.
Care is simple — rinse the soap dish now and then after use and wipe it dry so that no water sits in the cut-out. It measures 11 × 9 cm. Ceramic can take years of everyday service.
