A ceramic soap dish is a lovely thing — apart from the trace of water it sometimes leaves on the edge of the basin. This flat ceramic soap dish tray was made for exactly that detail: a gently raised rim, tiny feet and a light glaze with a soft sheen that suits any bathroom. It sits quietly under your soap dish and keeps the water where it belongs.

The tray catches excess water from under the soap dish, protects the basin and shelf from stains and limescale and, being universal, fits under any ceramic soap dish. Discreet and easy to clean, it makes a bathroom look tidy. Nothing extra. Nothing without a reason.

Every now and then just tip it out and wipe it dry — and it is ready again. It measures 12.5 × 9 cm, so it finds a place even on a narrower basin edge. As with all handmade ceramics, this piece has its own, slightly imperfect character; shape and glaze vary subtly from piece to piece, and that is intentional.

A solid soap lasts longest when it can dry out between washes — a soap dish that drains looks after the soap, and this tray looks after the drips that run beneath it. Pair it with one of our ceramic soap dishes and an honest cold-process soap.
