BLUE LACE SOAP DISH

A band of deep blue lace runs across the pale dish, as if someone had draped a cobalt ribbon over it. The white-and-blue combination recalls folk porcelain and brings a clean, fresh calm to the bathroom. A small heart hides in the middle of the band.

That heart is also a drain for the water — so the soap does not sit in the damp and lasts longer, while the upturned edges and feet hold everything neatly in place. A timeless ceramic soap dish you will not easily tire of — a solid soap needs to dry out between washes, and the heart-shaped drain takes care of that by itself, with no extra upkeep.

Place it a little away from the stream of water and empty it from time to time; the glazed surface just needs wiping dry, and the little feet hold it above the wet edge of the basin. At 10.5 × 7.5 cm, it fits even beside a smaller basin. The blue decoration is made by hand, so the pattern is slightly different on every piece. Like a fingerprint.
