A raised red heart stands out on a clean white surface — not painted but modelled in relief, so you can almost feel it under your fingers. Next to it, a second heart, this time cut right through the dish. A bold yet still romantic ceramic soap dish.
The cut-out heart is no accident: it is exactly where the water drains away, so the soap is not left standing in its own lather and lasts longer. Soggy soap is not better soap — and here there is nowhere for it to go soggy. Rich red on white makes a heartfelt gift — for an anniversary, for Valentine's Day or just because, for someone special.
Give it a spot out of the direct stream of water, and now and then empty it and wipe it dry. At 10.5 × 7.5 cm it fits a standard bar of soap. Being handmade means the relief and the shade differ slightly from piece to piece. We admit it on purpose. The glazed ceramic cleans with a single wipe, and the relief will not lose its colour.
